Aaliyah Haughton became famous in 1994, when she dropped her first album Age Ain't Nothing but a number. At the age of 15 years old, the album earned Gold recognition. The collaboration that influenced R. Kelly's music and brought her into the spotlight. In 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland came out with Aaliyah's sophomore album One In A Million. It featured If Your Girls Only Knew, the most-sold single. Aaliyah became a well-known R&B vocalist after the release. She was a part of the martial arts legend Jet Li in the romance-action film Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, film producer and director of the film Romeo Must Die, spotted her at an award ceremony. In 2002, she was able to play the horror film Queen of the Damned which was inspired by Anne Rice's Anne Rice novel. Then she was introduced to the Matrix in the form of Zee as Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also performed as a character in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 and The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. She also uses Aarti Magumdar for her stage name. Her acting career began with minor TV and film performances, but her fame increased in the mid 2000s. In addition to The Big Bang Theory, her notable other works include Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) and Grey's Anatomy (2017.) She also appeared in several commercials including Volvo and many other major car brands. She lives with her family in Los Angeles along with her husband, daughter and pursues her acting career.
